Everyone's wearing their hair soft and curly right now. Jessica Simpson is a shining example of this hot new hair look, here's how it's done...
Jessica Simpson has the perfect head of soft curls!

After washing and while the hair is still damp, apply a mousse through the lengths. This will help to hold your curls once your hair is dry. We love Pantene Perfect Curls Defining Mousse, £2.98.

To get a really big and soft curl like Jessica's, it's best to use a large barrel curling tong. We like Babyliss Dial A Heat Jumbo Curling Iron, £24.99, which has a temperature control making it ideal to use on fine or damaged hair. Take one inch sections of hair and wrap around the tong clockwise, so the curls roll back away from your face.

Once you have a full head of curls, use a soft bristle brush to lightly brush them through. Try Charles Worthington Smoothing Volumiser Hair Brush, £7.95.

Fab advice, i've always tried and failed with curls, i always end up with kinky ones after resorting to the straighteners! that fall out after 2 minutes anyway x

This isn't good for people who have naturally really good hair if we want to tone ours down.
