  • All dynamic advertising must be user activated via a roll over and have a visible close button from the start.
  • Any sound must be set to OFF as standard, and be user activated to turn on if required.
  • Overlays must time out after no more than 15 seconds.

Text Link - Max text 120 characters including spaces and headline. Headline limited to 15 characters max including spaces.

Banner / Skyscraper Creative - Only Gif formats, static or animated.

Please supply a high resolution image that will be resized internally and the URL the image and text will be directed to.

Shockwave Flash Files

Information for Creative Agencies and Designers:

Please adhere to the instructions below when supplying flash files to HF-UK enabling HF-UK to count clicks and serve flash files.

If a creative is of type Shockwave Flash, make sure the Flash creative is compiled with a clickTAG:

  1. In the Flash, take out the normal click-action that links directly to a URL
  2. Create an invisible button that covers your whole banner
  3. On this button you replace the URL with clickTAG
  4. The new action will look like this: on(release) { getURL(clickTAG, "_blank"); }
  5. Save the banner and export as Flash format (preferably Flash 8, if possible)

Note: "_blank" is included to ensure click opens up in a new window.

Please also supply:

  1. .swf file formatted as per the above link
  2. Default gif (for users who do not have a flash plug-in)
  3. Click thru URL
  4. Version of flash, creatives are designed in

ALL FLASH FILES MUST BE SAVED TO FLASH VERSION 8 OR LESS

No ad to consume more than 40% of CPU on a modern dual-core machine in Firefox with Flash 10 installed on either Mac OS X (10.4 or newer) or Windows (XP or newer).

Please send advert tags/fragments/locations to Richard Swan. Also supply click thru URL and login password to HF-UK for viewing 3rd Party reports.

Instructions must be provided to allow the HF-UK adserver, EmediateAd, to count clicks.

Creative deadlines

For Gifs or 3rd party served creative please allow up to three working days prior to campaign start date. For Rich Media creative please allow up to five working days prior to campaign start date.
