Makeup tutorials on YouTube might be great, but sometimes it does feel like the beauty gurus have waved a magic wand to achieve their look, while you're somehow left looking like someone's given you a black eye. It's HARD, OKAY.
So we're always grateful for a genius/easy beauty hack, and this super simple one to help you achieve the perfect cut crease eyeshadow is verging on genius tbh.
The cut crease look is all about ultra-definition between your lid and brow bone, using a lighter shade across your lid and a richer shade along the crease. It's usually paired with a sharp cat flick and some killer lashes for the fleekiest of fleek finishing touches.
It might look like the work of a makeup master, but it turns out all you need is a spoon to help you nail the technique.
Beauty vlogger Brittney Foley has been showing viewers exactly how it's done over on Instagram, using a netural shade across the eyelids before placing a spoon over your closed lid to kinda cup your eyeball.
The spoon's curve perfectly lines up with where you'd want your cut crease, so then swoosh a slightly darker shadow along the edge of the spoon and blend it out above.
So now you know why you need to keep a spoon in your makeup bag for emergencies. Duh.
