Put your legal eagle hat on for a sec and prepare to embrace your inner Elle Woods - or Harvey Spektor, whichever floats your boat - because Kendall Jenner is suing an acne treatment company for a whopping 10 MILLION dollars.
Why? Well, not only did they use her image in their adverts without her permission, but they also falsely claimed that she endorses their product. Naaaaaht cool, and oh-so misleading.
The advertisement for Cutera Laser Genesis includes a quote from Kendall, in which she says that acne "completely ruined" her self-esteem and that visits to a Laser Genesis dermatologist have left her with "nearly flawless skin".
Errrr great - except she only ever said the first part, about self-esteem, and that was on her app last year.
The company also sent out tweets like this one, in which they explicitly claim Kendall used their services.
Understandably Kenny is taking action, with legal documents listing the huge range of publications she's appeared in as a model, and stating that she would usually charge an 'eight figure sum' (jesus christ on a bike we're in the wrong profession) for an endorsement.
As a result she's suing the company for it's profits, which apparently total more than $10 million. Yowzer.
"The right to associate Kendall Jenner's name and likeness in connection with a product or service belongs solely to Kendall Jenner and is protected by federal and state law," Kendall's lawyer Todd Wilson told TMZ.
"Today's lawsuit by Ms Jenner against Cutera, Inc., for the unauthorised use of Ms. Jenner's name and likeness to promote its product should serve notice that Ms Jenner will vigorously defend her rights under the law."
Well, that's all pretty serious, innit?
