There are certain things you expect to stop happening once the horror of puberty has finally released you from its grip; however, most of these expectations are going to come crumbling down around you when you realise that literally NOTHING changes.
Here are twelve things you thought would slide off your gills when you finally became a woman, which, we're sorry to tell you are twelve things you're basically gonna have to live with forever.
That theory that your hormones eventually level out and spots become a foggy memory from the past? Total lie. The truth is; you'd better start perfecting your face cleansing now, 'cos it's gonna come in handy.
2. Mood swings
Some days you're up, some days you're down. Most days the sound of someone clicking their pen over and over again is enough to make you evacuate the area and take a few long, deep breaths.
3. Achy boobs
What even is the purpose of that, body? Just more pure torture to add to the long list of inconvenience you put us through?
4. Friendship drama
The idea that once you're grown, everyone will chill out and stop sniping at each other is something you're going to have to put down as a hopeless pipe dream.
5. Period pain
Doesn't get any better, doesn't get any easier.
6. Feelings of inadequacy
Oh God, why did you sit so close to that cliquey looking group of teenage girls? Hold on a second, you're grown. You're perfectly entitled to sit wherever the hell you want. REMEMBER THAT.
7. Falling for someone too quickly
You'd think years of experience would lead you to guard your emotions more carefully, but nope - you're still an absolute amateur in the relationship game. Bad luck for you.
8. Never knowing if you're wearing the right underwear
A balconnette, a t-shirt, a plunge, or a memory-foam underwired bra? WE DON'T KNOW THE RIGHT CHOICE, HELP US.
9. Never knowing when your period is about to arrive
The concept of you keeping track of your cycle is hilarious. When it arrives, it arrives, and lets just hope you're prepared.
10. Not knowing how to flirt. At all.
You thought blushing would be a thing of the past? Lets face it, if your game was weak during puberty, it's probably still weak now.
Adulthood is a LIE, everyone. A. LIE.
