People are naaaht happy with M.A.C cosmetics' latest campaign.
Their 'Vibe Tribe' collection (which is set to be released at the end of the month) features a load of gorgeous coral and gold lipsticks together with charcoal and cobalt eyeshadows. But it's not the colour-popping shades that have got people angry.
People are pissed off with M.A.C for appropriating 'tribal' as a trend - together with the Native American-style ad campaign, calling out M.A.C for culture appropriation.
M.A.C have responded to fans backlash, noting that the collection is actually inspired by 'art, outdoor music festivals and colours of the desert'
In a statement to Seventeen.com, a rep for M.A.C. said: "M.A.C Vibe Tribe is the summer color collection for M.A.C Cosmetics. The collection, including the visuals, product lineup and naming, is inspired by art, outdoor music festivals and the colors of the desert." [sic]
