Kendall and Kylie Jenner novel Rebels: City of Indra is slammed by critics: 'Kim Kardashian's sex tape had a better plot'

You might have thought Kylie and Kendall Jenner announcing plans to write a book was about as likely as Justin Bieber getting a sex change, but it's actually happened (the Kylie and Kendall bit) and this week they finally released brand new dystopian novel Rebels: City of Indra.

Unfortunately, the critics haven't been all to kind to the sisters and the book has been slated by a fair few literary know-it-alls and a whole lot of people waving their opinions about on the internet.

With some pretty harsh sounding reviews from the NY Daily News and only a 2.41 average rating on Goodreads, the YA audience are clearly a tough crowd to please. Granted the gals never claimed to have written the whole thing themselves, instead getting in two ghost-writers to help put their ideas into novel form, but apparently not even that seems to have helped on the review front.

To be fair, we'd imagine a fair few people having their say prepared themselves to dislike the book purely on principle, but the majority rules and if Goodreads and Amazon are anything to go by, not everyone will be shelving this one next to their copies of Harry Potter and The Hunger Games.
