Seeing as it's still January and we apparently want to make ourselves as depressed as possible, we've been researching the best water parks in the world. The results? Er, get us on a plane to Dubai with a bikini and our passport immediately, please.
1. Atlantis, The Palm Aquaventure water park - Dubai
There's a reason why this is commonly referred to as the best water park in the UAE, and it might have something to do with the fact one of the slides goes through a clear acrylic tube so you can see SHARKS AND STINGRAYS around you. Agh.
2. World Waterpark, Alberta - Canada
This indoor water park covers FIVE ACRES of land, features a loop the loop water slide, and is located inside the West Edmonton Mall. Oh, and there's a zipline in case you just feel a bit bored of waterslides. UhMAZING.
3. Tropical Islands - Berlin
Now this place is INCREDIBLE. It's billed as one of the largest indoor water parks in the world, and seeing as it boasts hot air balloon rides, a circus style aerobatics show and a free-fall tower ride, we can see why.
4. Siam Park - Canary Islands
The Tower of Power ride shoots you through a perspex tank of stingrays and sharks, and the park boasts a wave machine capable of reaching 10 foot and a river rafting ride. Oh, and you can rely on great weather too.
5. Typhoon Lagoon - Orlando, Florida
Typhoon Lagoon at Walt Disney World, Orlando, has 2 million visitors a year, and it might have something to do with the AWESOME Crush 'n' Guster water-coaster or insane decorative features.
6. Watercube Waterpark - Beijing
Unsurprisingly, the Watercube Waterpark is China's second most popular attraction after The Great Wall, and it might have something to do with the ridiculously cool neon design and OTT slides.
7. Wet 'n' Wild - Orlando, Florida
Not only does it's wave pool measure 17,000 square feet and the opportunity to wake board and surf, but Wet 'n' Wild Orlando had the most multi-person rides in the world - so a great one to do with your pals.
8. Yas Waterworld - Abu Dhabi, UAE
The photo speaks for itself when it comes to how bloody BIG this water park is, fit with rollercoasters, tornado rides, a lazy river and the opportunity to surf the world's largest sheet wave. Can we go here like now pls?
9. Area 47 - Innsbruck, Austria
This one has a water catapult, an Alpine lake (fancy) and five water slides. Need we say more?
The moral of this story? We're over cold and rainy England and would quite like a holiday to somewhere sunny with a water park, please. How about YOU? Have you been to any of these places? Let's discuss over on our twitter or in the comment box below, yo.
