If you're a bit busy to pop over to Hogwarts and get the actual sorting hat placed on your head, then have no fear. You can still find out which ancient wizarding house you truly belong to, all thanks to the snazzy new feature on Pottermore.
The magical sorting test has finally returned to the Harry Potter website this week, more accurate than ever and packed full of new, deep and meaningful questions to examine the workings of your inner mind.
According to Pottermore, the Sorting Hat is "one of the cleverest enchanted objects most witches and wizards will ever meet," containing the intelligence of the original four Hogwarts founders and a sharp skill for Legilimency.
Once on the head, the hat will examine the wearer and "divine his or her capabilities or mood", to judge whether you're truly a Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw or Slytherin.
Unforch we lost our Hogwarts acceptance letter this year so Pottermore is as close as we're gonna get, but the new set of questions are AMAZING.
Our favourite is definitely: "A troll has gone berserk in the Headmaster's study at Hogwarts. It is about to smash, crush, and tear several irreplaceable items and treasures. In which order would you rescue these objects from the troll's club, if you could?"
The Sorting Hat isn't the only Pottermore element to get a makeover, as the all important Wand Selection Test has also been rejigged to make sure the wands choose the correct wizards. Cypress wood, phoenix feather core, 14.5 inches if you were wondering.
Interestingly, we got a totally different wand to the one we had on old Pottermore, and went from Slytherin to Gryffindor this time. It's like we've leveled up in the wizarding world or something.
