It's pretty obvious that we're huge Harry Potter fans over here at Sugarscape HQ, but one thing that we can never decide on (besides choosing our favourite character) is selecting our favourite spell.
In celebration of Harry Potter Book Night: A Night Of Spells, an official hunt to work out the nation's favourite has been carried out by Bloomsbury Children's Books - with Expecto Patronum, Accio, and Wingardium Leviosa charting the highest.
Obviously this all very credible stuff, but we think it's high time we shared our personal favourite spells with you, because they're a bit more hashtag quirky than the mainstream ones.
Because even though you occasionally need to unlock secret vaults and fight off dementors, more often than not you just need a cold glass of water.
So you don't have to head over to Madam Pomfrey to heal every bruise and cut you get.
Because if you feel like avoiding other human beings, this one's the holy grail.
So you can light birthday candles way quicker than with using matches.
So you can glue your friends tongue to the top of their mouth when they start talking to your parents about something you don't want them knowing about.
So you don't have to get out of bed to turn the lights off.
Anyone who's ever crushed their glasses by accident will understand.
Practical, because sometimes you need a shield charm to guard yourself against an attack.
We know this is such a basic choice, but we love it so much so we're including it anyway. SOZ.
Used to launch chewing gum up Peeve's nose, and sadly never made another reappearance.
Oh, and if you're wondering which spells are on the actual, proper, official chart, take a look at them here:
1. Expecto patronum
3. Wingardium Leviosa
7. Avada Kedavra
