What with Zoella launching her own book club with WHSmith and every YouTuber worth their weight in chirpy background music putting pen to paper these days, Casper Lee's only gone and announced his debut book, hasn't he?
Yup - the snappily-titled Caspar Lee was written by (you guessed it) actual Casper Lee himself *and* his mum Emily Riordan Lee and is set to be released on 31st May 2016. HOORAH.
So basically the book sees Casper and the mother tell his tale in what promises to be an 'exciting new way.' Unbeknownst to Caspy his mum had already been approached and started writing the story of his life, before he caught wind JUST before it went to print and managed to annotate it with his side. Amazing.
Chatting about the project, Caspar said: "I'm really pleased to be the only YouTuber who has published a book in the last couple of years… oh wait.
"In all seriousness it's been so interesting to hear about all the things my family went through when we were living in South Africa but that I wasn't aware of because I was too young. Thanks so much to my mum for capturing my life story so far and to everyone who has gotten me to this point."
His mum Emily added: "What an extraordinary journey it's been for me bringing up my children and then getting to write about them.
"Caspar's life has been unusual, and a little crazy, and I am so proud to be able to share his formative years. It's been such a pleasure for us to work together on this project, and I hope people may learn that even though life can take some unexpected turns, the glass should always be half full."
Er, can it just be May now purrrrlease and thanks? That'd be brill.
What d'ya make of that, then? Well excited for the book? Give us a tweet over @sugarscape or drop a comment in the box below, please and a-thaaaaank you. CHEERS.
