You wake up one morning and Michael Clifford is feeding you chocolate buttons, Calum Hood is massaging your feet with a pink feather, Luke Hemmings is serenading you on the lute and Ashton Irwin is shedding a tear over just how much he loves you.
But then you wake up and realise that you probably need to stop reading 5 Seconds of Summer fan fiction before bed time. Sigh.
If that sounds familiar then don't worry too much, because it turns out that even 5SOS themselves worry that they can't live up to the perfect, super romantic versions of themselves that fans create in fanfics and imagines.
During their epic interview with Grimmy on Radio 1 last week, 5SOS admitted that they are partial to reading a bit of fan fiction every now and again – but it does make them feel a bit uncomfortable some times.
Admitting that the endless romance and drama makes him feel a bit inadequate, Ashton said: "Ehh… it's like, it either makes you sound embarrassingly romantic, which makes me feel bad about my actual self."
That's not all either, as the boys are TOTALLY onto you lot and your passion for lovey dovey imagines (and probably the filthy ones too), which is a fairly terrifying thought.
"They do these things online called Imagines, and it's like, 'imagine going on a date with Michael and you take a moonlit walk on the beach' and stuff, when in reality we go for popcorn and coffee," Michael slipped.
THEY'RE ONTO US. QUICKLY DELETE ALL YOUR INTERNET HISTORY before someone finds that one about you and Calum in the Jacuzzi.
It's pretty cute to hear that 5SOS feel a bit inadequate compared to their perfect fan fiction selves, but they really don't have to worry too much, do they? The real deal is alright, we 'spose.
Oh hells bells. THEY KNOW.
Agree that it must be pretty weird reading fan fics about yourself? Whaddya think about 5SOS's confessions? Tweets about all of this to @Sugarscape pelase and tah.
