Ever since JK Rowling first announced that we'd be floo powder-ing back to the wizarding world with Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, we've had our fingers, wands and blast-ended skrewts crossed that some of our favourite Harry Potter characters would be returning.
Potterheads went a bit mental when Albus Dumbledore's name was dropped in the most recent trailer, and now a star from the films has added to the speculation that Fantastic Beasts will actually feature a young Dumbly.
Hinting that we might be meeting a younger, less beardy and y'know, still alive Dumbledore in the Fantastic Beasts films, Dan Fogler (who plays Jacob) dropped a major clue in an interview with MTV News.
He teased: "As the stories go along you – I can't give it away – you will see, you will hear mention of your favourite characters and, you know, you may even meet their counterparts along the way."
When asked if we can look forward to the return of Dumbledore, Dan added: "Um, I take the fifth". So basically, we can safely assume that he actually meant 'Dumbledore is SO returning, but I can't actually confirm it because Warner Bros. will put me in Azkaban for the rest of my days.'
We've got our fingers crossed SO HARD for the Dumbledore vs Grindlewald battle to feature somewhere in the trilogy - triple mega please with crumble-horned snorkacks on top.
What do you reckon to this major news then? Living for the return of Dumbledore? Let us know with a tweet to @Sugarscape.
