Well chuck us a nesting hippogriff and call us moaning Murtle, we've been going on about this Harry Potter and the Cursed Child play for bloody ages, haven't we? And when we're not obsessing over the potential plot or swooning over the new cast, J.K. Rowling is whetting our appetite even more with this teaser from backstage.
Yup, seeing as the play launches THIS BLOODY WEEK at the Palace Theatre in London, it was only a matter of time before Harry Potter and his magical mates (that being J.K. Rowling, duh) started teasing the actual actors in the play.
Which is where this video clip comes in, which sees J.K. asking people who see the play to keep it quiet so it doesn't ruin the wizard-ing wonder for everyone else. It also shows some BTS shots from rehearsal, and boy oh boy does it look AMAZING.
J.K. also recently took the opportunity to hit back at racist, ridiculous people who lashed out at Harry Potter and the Cursed Child for casting a black woman as Hermione Granger. Are you fo' real?
She slayed: "I had a bunch of racists telling me that because Hermione 'turned white' – that is, lost colour from her face after a shock – that she must be a white woman, which I have a great deal of difficulty with.
"But I decided not to get too agitated about it and simply state quite firmly that Hermione can be a black woman with my absolute blessing and enthusiasm. With my experience of social media, I thought that idiots were going to idiot. But what can you say? That's the way the world is. Noma was chosen because she was the best actress for the job."
QUEEN J.K. WE ALL BOW DOWN.
