In case you didn't already know, Giovanna Fletcher is a pretty big mega babe. When she's not championing body confidence or giving us the family of dreams with McFly's Tom Fletcher, she's writing her latest book Always With Love.
It tells the story of Sophie and her boyfriend Billy Buskin, who just happens to be the biggest movie star in the world at the time. She quickly she quickly discovers she's totally unprepared for the chaos of Hollywood, the paparazzi and Billy's controlling mother.
This eventually leads her to question whether their relationship is all as it seems, and whether distance is the only thing that's coming between them.
Sounds good, huh? To celebrate, Giovanna's compiled her top 10 fictional couples for your sneaky little peepers:
1. Jane Eyre and Mr Rochester, from Jane Eyre
Jane has such a difficult start at life and a horrible family (her aunt is the worst) so when love starts blossoming between her and Mr Rochester (who is a total dreamboat) you're willing for it all to run smoothly. It doesn't. Obviously.
2. Severus Snape and Lilly Potter, from Harry Potter
It's not the obvious choice as they weren't a couple, but Snape's unrequited love for Lilly is so heartbreaking and becomes a vital part of the story.
3. Bella and Edward, Twilight . . . or should it be Bella and Jacob?
It's still a tough decision to make. One's a vampire, the other a werewolf . . . clearly there are pros and cons to both.
4. Bridget and Mark Darcy, Bridget Jones' Diary
I love Bridget. She's the sort of girl everyone would love to have as their best friend. She's normal, funny, a bit ditsy and has a heart of gold. And Mark Darcy? Swoooooon!
5. Barbie and Ken, my imagination
The first fictional couple I ever fully invested in thanks to having them in doll form. I used to love making up all sorts of scenarios while getting them dressed and setting up their house. They were my guilty pleasure in my early teens . . . it took me a long time to stop playing with them. Haaa!
6. Sandy and Danny, Grease
Without question, these two are one of the greatest fictional couples of all time. The ultimate geeky-girl-turns-cool-to-win-the-guy and cool-boy-turns-geeky-to-win-the-girl story ever.
7. Will and Lou, Me Before You
If anyone ever asks me to recommend a book to take on holiday with them this is the one I instantly suggest. As a result, many of my friends have text me weeping from their sunloungers after investing in this couple. You spend the whole novel willing the power of love to work its magic. . .
8. Ali and Noah, The Notebook
I can't think of these two without sighing at the beauty of their romance. Simply wonderful.
9. Romeo and Juliet
The tale of these teenage lovebirds has influenced many stories of this genre. The innocence, the forbidden love, the tragic miscommunication – it's epic. Don't be put off by the fact you were probably forced to read this in school – there's a reason it's an absolute classic.
10. Robbie and Cecilia, Atonement
Another tragic love story that had me gripped from beginning to end. I'd say Robbie is up there as one of my favourite fictional crushes. Damn Briony Tallis.
BRB, going to have a cry in a corner. Giovanna Fletcher's book Always With Love is out in paperback with Penguin Publishing.
