The fact it's 2017 next year seems slightly ridiculous. We've obviously still got Halloween, Christmas and a fair few weekends slumped in front of The X Factor to get through till that happens; but we're already wishing time away until Emily Barr's brand new book The One Memory of Flora Banks is finally released on January 5th.
Billed as 'the book you'll never forget' (sounds promising), The One Memory of Flora Banks tells a tale along the lines of this:
How do you know who to trust when you can't even trust yourself?
I look at my hands. One of them says 'FLORA be brave'.
Flora has anterograde amnesia. She can't remember anything day-to-day: the joke her friend made,
the instructions her parents gave her, how old she is.
Then she kisses someone she shouldn't – and the next day she remembers it.
It's the first time she's remembered anything since she was ten.
But the boy is gone – she thinks he's moved to the arctic.
Could he somehow be the key to unlocking her memory?
Oh, and guess what? We've got the EXCLUSIVE cover reveal for ya. It's pretty, it's very blue and we know you shouldn't judge a book by its cover; but it's safe to say this one looks bloody brilliant.
If you want a better idea of what Emily's latest book's all about, here's the fancy trailer for your eyes and ears.
