Calvin Harris confirms that he and Rita Ora have split: 'I wish her all the best'

There’s nothing much better than when two famous celebs get it together and form an awesome power couple, so when Rita Ora and Calvin Harris started dating, they became the best pairing since cheese and crackers, crisps and dip, pizza and another pizza etc etc.

But it sounds like things weren’t quite as perfect for the lovebirds as they might have seemed, as Calvin has announced that he and Reetz have headed straight to splitsville, confirming their break up to his fans on Twitter.

There’s been rumours for a while that #Ralvin might have gone a bit pear-shaped, after the pair seemed to suddenly go from being inseparable to spending time with other people. Rita has been in Mexico while Calvin was spotted leaving Hollywood nightclubs with a few different girls this week. Eek.

Calvin did the gentlemanly thing last night and sent out a tweet to put an end to all the wagging tongues and set the record straight, writing: "To address speculation - myself and Rita ended our relationship some time ago.”

He added: “She is a beautiful, talented woman & I wish her all the best.”

We were totally blubbing and very emotional about the whole thing to start with, but then remembered that they did get a #1 single out of all of this, as Calvin produced Rita’s smash hit I Will Never Let You Down. It’s better than anything we’ve got off any of our ex-boyfs, anyway.

It’s not long ago that Rita was telling Elle mag just how much she lurved Calvin, as she spilled: "He got something out of me that I never thought I had. Yes, like falling in love. I just didn't think I had it. I'd never experienced it before.”

Sob...sniffle...single tear...HYSTERICAL WAIL.
