Rebel Wilson isn't exactly known for her subtlty or wallflower behaviour, but it looks like her big gob might have landed her in serious trouble this week as she's caused controversy for calling out the WRONG journalist.
She took to Twitter last night to slam a journo who'd been 'harassing' her elderly grandmother for stories - but after posting a photo of the women she thought was to blame, it seems as though she might have the wrong gal.
So that's a bit awkward.
Rebel is NOT happy with a certain journalist called Elizabeth Wilson from ACP magazines, who she labelled as 'total scum' for targeting her 'sweet, sick grandma' to try and get stories on the actress.
"If your name is Elizabeth Wilson and you work for ACP Magazines, just know that you are a disgrace for harassing my sweet, sick grandma," Rebel wrote to her 2.43 million followers.
Rebel then took it one step further though, sharing a LinkedIn photo of the woman she thought was to blame. "Here she is: total scum," she wrote with the pic.
But that's where things get a bit controversial, as the journo in the picture, who works as a senior features editor for House & Garden, has told mamamia that she's got nothing to do with any of this. Eep.
Elizabeth in the picture has said that "this is so far out of the realm of what I deal with" in her work, and that she was left feeling 'bewildered and distressed' by the hate that she's since received.
And it looks as though Rebel's still not convinced by her denial though, as she's now removed the picture but tweeted that "the lawyers who represent these dodgy tabloid 'journalists' who write utter crap on a weekly basis are now telling me I have facts wrong".
This is all very complicated and awkward, innit. LKet us know what you make of Rebel's sticky situation, we're over on Twitter @Sugarscape.
