Rather than following his Oscars win with cocktail sausages and pineapple and cheese sticks like we would've done, Sam Smith has decided to celebrate his gong with, er, quitting Twitter. Whaaaat.
Well it all kicked off a bit on the interweb earlier this week, didn't it? ICYMI, after Sam Smith won the Best Original Song category for 'Writings On The Wall' from Spectre, he dedicated the Academy Award it to the LGBT community.
He also made some slightly ill informed comments about how he thought he was the first openly gay man to win an Oscar, and one person who reacted particularly badly to this was Tom Daley's fiancé and film maker Dustin Lance Black.
He tweeted Sam with a video of his Oscars acceptance speech for Best Original Screenplay Milk back in 2009, and wrote: "Hey @SamSmithWorld, if you have no idea who I am, it may be time to stop textin my fiancé."
Although Dustin has since tweeted that it was all a "joke" and insisted there's no bad blood between him and Sam Smith, the singer decided it was time to take a break from Twitter in a bid to avoid any similar drama all together.
He wrote: "I'm logging off for a while. Some Martinis shaken not stirred are definitely in order."
So there you go. Sam's doing an Ed Sheeran. THOUGHTS? What do you reckon, then? Thoughts? Let's discuss, y'all.
BUT LOOK AT THESE NOW:
