Dr. Luke's attorney's claimed Kesha should never have praised Lady Gaga's Oscars performance of 'Til It Happens to You;' claiming her situation cannot be compared and shouldn't be held up as an example of sex abuse since she once swore it had never happened.
Following the performance, Kesha posted a message on Instagram saying: "Thank u @ladygaga and @vp for bringing attention to sexual assault at the oscars. It hit very close to my heart for obvious reasons. #ItsOnUs" [sic]; but Dr. Luke and his lawyers don't think it's fair of her to have related the performance to her own experiences.
Dr. Luke's attorney told TMZ: "Ms. Sebert [Kesha], who in sworn videotaped testimony from 2011 stated that she had never been sexually abused or drugged by Dr. Luke is neither a victim nor the appropriate person to be held up as an example for this important issue."
In further news Cheryl Fernandez-Versini recently spoke out in support of Kesha following the lawsuit verdict; telling The Sun: "It's sickening and she 100 per cent has my support. As a woman I can't imagine what she has been through. I can't believe it. She should have the right to do whatever she wants.
"I will definitely reach out to her just as Taylor Swift and Adele have. To have to be in a working environment and go through that is awful. It's so important to have your voice – she's had that taken away."
