If Liam Payne had called us his favourite woman in the whole world in a cute Instagram post and taken us shopping for bread and milk in Guildford, we're pretty sure we'd never be sad again. Ever. Literally ever.
But apparently Cheryl Cole/Fernandez-Versini/NoSurname isn't quite so convinced by their new relationship, and sources are claiming that she's way more hesitant than him when it comes to making things public.
Since news broke of their tres romantique adventures together, Liam hasn't exactly been keeping things quiet between him Cheryl, sharing a handful of selfies of 'em cuddled up and generally seeming more loved up than we are with a packet of fresh Hobnobs.
But according to Now magazine, Chezza isn't quite so sure about shouting her lurve from the rooftops, which could potentially spell diaster for Chiam already.
"Ideally, Cheryl would've kept this quiet and she did her best to keep it that way. Liam's camp weren't so worried, he's smitten and quite happy for people to know, but having it blasted out there wasn't what Cheryl wanted," an insider said.
"Liam's crazy about Cheryl - it's something he's dreamed of since he was a teenager and he can't quite believe it's happening now," they revealed.
"He can't stop talking about it and wants to tell the whole world how happy he is. But Cheryl is older, wiser and has been hurt a lot, so she's not able to let go in the same way.
"Right now it feels great to have let down her defences again. It's the old saying that the best way to get over someone is to get under someone else.
Making Liam sound like a love sick puppy, they added: "But Cheryl's much more hesitant than Liam. She's very worried about her image and how this will play out with the public. So she's holding him back while he's straining at the leash."
Bearing in mind this is the exact same issue that ran the controversial quotes from Sophia Smith, it's probably best to take all of that lot with several handfuls of salt.
