He might already have a Man In Black for a dad and a sister who whips her hair back and forth, but Jaden Smith has become a fashionista in his own right these days, and a big part of his rise to the top has been exploring gender boundaries and giving zero effs about it.
Recently he was announced as the face of Louis Vuitton's womenswear range, and he's always stepping out in dresses like it ain't no thang, so it's not much of a surprise that Jaden's told GQ Style how gender norms are something that really interest him.
Jaden's on the cover of GQ Style right this very second, and chatting about his gender fluidity in modelling, he opened up to say that he finds the whole concept of gender in clothing to be pretty baffling.
"I feel like people are kind of confused about gender norms," Jaden spilled. "I feel like people don't really get it. I'm not saying that I get it, I'm just saying that I've never seen any distinction."
Speaking out on the idea of gender in fashion, he said: "I don't see man clothes and woman clothes, I just see scared people and comfortable people."
Could he be more awesome? It's pretty great to see a young person in the fashion industry speaking so openly about this kind of thing. VERY COOL, four for you Jaden Smith.
Thoughts on all of this gender norm stuff in the fashion industry? Agree with what Jaden has to say on the matter? Let us know with a tweet to @Sugarscape.
