Chloe Grace Moretz off of The Fifth Wave graces the cover of COMPLEX magazine this month, and as well as looking trés edgy, she also talks being America's golden girl, and all things girl squad.
After gaining her acting credentials in Kick Ass, Carrie and If I Stay, it goes without saying that Chloe is a big name in Hollywood - so does that mean she'll be joining Taylor's girl squad of successful and supportive celeb gals any time soon?
Well, no actually. While Chloe apparently told COMPLEX she'd received an invite to join Tay's crew, she simply responded with: "she's a very talented person", when asked if she'd accepted or rejected the invitation.
Although she wouldn't expand any more on TayTay's squad in particular, Chloe did go on to diss Hollywood's concept of "the girl squad", commenting: "They appropriate exclusivity. They're cliques!"
Chloe went on to discuss her definition of what equality among the sexes means ("it's not just about women being powerful, it's about races being powerful, genders being powerful") as well as being America's sweetheart.
"I want to be America's sweetheart," she says, matter-of-factly. "I want to be beloved. I want to be an indie queen, but I want people to really love me and what I've done and let me be a part of their lives at home.
"Don't take me to Nobu and get me nigiri. I'm ok. I can take myself to Nobu," she declared. "I don't need someone to take me to Nobu."
She's an independent woman and she don't need no man/girl squad.
