Earlier this year Vanessa Hudgens landed herself in a spot of trouble with the law, following a romantic Valentine's Day trip to the Coconino National Forest in Sedona, Arizona.
It all kicked off after she shared a pic of a rather nice red rock on Instagram - a rather nice red rock that she'd carved her and boyfriend Austin Butler's names into.
Might sound like no biggie, but it could be said that she ended up between a ROCK AND HARD PLACE (laugh please, that was funny), because it's actually illegal to deface the special red rocks in Coconino National Forest, as they're protected by federal law.
By carving her and bae's names into 'em, Vanessa had actually violated the prohibition on "damaging natural surfaces or property of the United States".
Now the saga has finally come to an end, because Vanessa has officially been fined a whopping $1000 (ooh, wonder if she can afford that?), which has been donated to volunteer group Friends of the Forest, who will help restore the rock wall.
Note to self: don't express your romantic side in Sedona, Arizona.
