Ever since the announcement of her split from husband Jean-Bernard, we've never really known what to call Cheryl Fernandez-Versini. Like, the full name's an absolute ball ache when it comes to the Twitter character limit. That always pissed us off.
So thank God and also Jesus that our Chezza's apparently revealed what we should all be calling her from now on. Cheryl Tweedy (old school)? Cheryl Payne (too soon)? Er, nah mate. She's just going by 'Cheryl' now.
According to reports Cheryl's dropped her surname ahead of a big ol' REBRAND (oh, who doesn't love a rebrand?) at the Global Gift Gala in Paris next month; where she's set to receive an award from Eva Longoria.
Speaking to the Mirror, a source said: "Cheryl wants to wipe the slate clean and start afresh with a new name, now the divorce is going through.
"Things turned pretty nasty over the weekend, with both Cheryl and JB making comments on social media, so from hereon in, she will just be known as Cheryl. Her last album in 2014 was released under the name 'Cheryl,' too, but everyone still called her by her new married name.
"This time around, everyone is under strict instructions that she is just Cheryl, nothing else. Organisers at next month's event were told that all announcements of Cheryl's attendance should only refer to her as Cheryl."
So there we go. That just freed up a couple of characters for any future tweets.
What d'ya make of all this, then? Give us a tweet over @sugarscape or drop a comment in the box thing below. Nobody really does the latter, but the option's there if you wanna.
