Bella Thorne has opened up about what it was really like growing up as a Disney Channel star, sharing that she felt pressured to maintain a wholesome, innocent aura to fit in with what the company expected of her.
Sharing to Nylon that it was only after she left the channel that she really became comfortable with herself, Bella revealed: "Finally, when I got off the [Disney] Channel, I stopped listening to people telling me that I needed to be this and that. I literally would talk with a higher voice in interviews because that was the whole innocent Disney appeal."
Adding that she doesn't worry about whether certain roles will alienate her fanbase anymore, she explained: "My fans are going to love me and stick with me whether I'm wearing a crop top and a short skirt or not."
