As well as the badass YouTubers, brave reality tv stars and inspiring musicians speaking out about sexuality, actress and Pretty Little Liars's Shay Mitchell has graced the Cosmopolitan US cover and opened up about how she doesn't want to label herself. SLAY QUEEN.
Showing that it's absolutely 100 per cent acceptable to love who you love and like who you like regardless of their gender, Shay commented on how the sexuality of her next potential partner doesn't really matter - because you fall in love with the person, not whether they're male or female.
"When I started [dating], people were like, 'What are you?' I'm like, right now I'm dating a guy," she explained. "I don't know what it's going to be in three years. You love who you love. Black, white, polka dot, that's what my dad always said. I'm never going to label myself. I could be 50 and dating a woman and then what? I said I was straight and now I'm not?'"
We legit couldn't have said it better ourselves.
Speaking about life post-Pretty Little Liars and what the future holds, Shay added: ""I'd rather have a company. I don't want to be dependent on a call from my agent — taking projects I'm not OK with because I need to. To be honest, winning an Oscar is not one of my goals."
