There's not many situations worse than that moment when you're sat around with friends or family and your ex is brought up into conversation. Double AGH, UGH and NO THANKS. So imagine being Selena Gomez, who can barely go five minutes without someone mentioning the B word - yep, Bieber.
Despite not having been in a relationship with Justin Bieber for actual YEARS now, Selena is constantly reminded of the ol' Jelena days by press, fans and the general internet on a daily basis, and it looks as though she's officially had enough of it.
On Sunday night, Selena was confronted on the front row of her own Revival tour by a fan sign that, rather than showing support for her success, girl power or music career, mentioned her past love life and her famous ex.
The sign reading 'Marry Justin Please' didn't last long though, as Sellers stopped the show and asked fans to pass it to her, before crumpling it up and throwing it on the ground.
And that's how you handle anyone bringing up your past when you've already asked them not to. YES SELENA. One small step for Gomez, one giant step for woman kind.
Having already opened up in interviews about how she's 'so done' with the endless questions and references to her old relationship, Selena's just spoken to Marie Claire about it all too, admitting that she completely hates how she's defined by their ex.
"I would try to promote something that I loved, and the entire interview would be about my personal life," Selena said.
"I would leave a room feeling defeated, feeling embarrassed, but I would always make sure to put that smile on my face because I wasn't going to let them get to me.
"I've been dating. I've been having the best time. But I don't trust anybody, so dating can only be fun if I know I'm going to have fun."
What a woman.
