Ariana Grande is good at a lot of things - like hitting high notes that only angels can hear and rocking a ponytail for all occasions, but she's also really bloody great at speaking sense when it comes to feminism and girl power.
She's been at it again in her latest interview with Billboard magazine, echoing a point that she's been trying to make for ages about the media constantly linking successful women in the industry (Selena Gomez, in particular) to their celebrity ex-boyfriends.
In a nutshell, can we STOP IT PLEASE.
"I'll never be able to swallow the fact that people feel the need to attach a successful woman to a man when they say her name," Ariana said, with the Billboard reporter noting she was alluding to the never-ending linking of Selena Gomez to Justin Bieber.
"I saw a headline — draw your own conclusions [on the subjects] because it'll be so much drama that I don't want — they called someone another someone's ex, and that pissed me off.
"This person has had so many great records in the last year, and she hasn't been dating him forever. Call her by her name!"
Ariana got more and more heated about the subject which she's passionately spoken about in the past, adding: "I hate that. Like, I'm fuming. Sorry. You opened up ... I need to take a sip of water and breathe. Don't get me started on this shit."
What a woman.
