With police having now confirmed the identity of the gunman, the family of Christina Grimmie's killer have spoken for the first time to express their 'deepest sorrow' of her tragic passing.
After officers officially named Kevin James Loibl on Saturday as the man responsible for Christina's murder, his immediate family left a handwritten note taped to their front door of the home in which he lived in response to the heartbreaking news.
The short letter reads: "Deepest sorrow for lost to the family, friends and fans of the very talented, loving Christina Grimmie. No other comments [sic]."
Loibl's family shared their emotional note after Christina, a widely loved YouTube musician and star of The Voice US, was shot in the head by 'deranged' fan Kevin James, who is thought to have travelled down to her show in Orlando with the sole purpose of killing her.
Reports state that he was carrying two small calibre handguns and a hunting knife at the time of her heartbreaking death, after which he immediately shot himself dead.
The details of Christina's murder are incredibly upsetting. Bystander Destiny Rivera claims she witnessed the moment that Christina was shot dead in front of over a hundred fans, telling People that the talented singer had welcomed her killer with "open arms" before he produced the weapon.
