At around 2am local time on Sunday morning, a gunman killed at least 50 people and injured another 53 on the dancefloor at popular LGBTQ nightclub Pulse in Orlando, Florida. It became the worst mass shooting in American history.
The shock attack on the gay community in what should have been a safe space during Pride Week has left the world completely devastated, shaken and heartbroken, but now millions of people are uniting against the homophobic hate crime and to spread the idea that LOVE IS LOVE.
Amongst them all was well known LGBTQ rights supporter Harry Styles, who took to Instagram to share pictures of rainbows in tribute to the victims.
Having proudly shown his support for the gay community millions of times before (remember when he wore a Michael Sam football shirt, AND tweeted a lovely message against the Westboro Baptist Church?), Harry took to Instagram to pay tribute to the Orlando victims this time around.
First, he shared a stripey rainbow image simply captioned with a message of hope - "All.", before also snapping a cute pic of a real-life rainbow, too.
It's SO inspiring to see someone with as much influence as Harreh showing his support so publicly - but we're guessing you probably know where all of this is going. Yup, Larry shippers soon started taking over the comments sections of his Insta posts, and One Direction fans were NOT happy about it.
Despite the rainbows being a sign of solidarity, pride, respect and support after a truly tragic incident which saw 50 people killed, some shippers were keen to speculate that the pictures were secretly Larry-related. And well, this kinda sums up all of that to be honest.
