Let's get real: it probably hasn't been a great week to be Taylor Swift, has it? Not only did ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris launch an inSANE Twitter rant at her and her romance with Tom Hiddleston get mocked as a sham, but now Kim Kardashian has gone iiiiiinnnnn on her over that GQ article.
Oh, but she was named the richest woman in the music industry. Do you think she can feel the shade over her mountains of cash?
Anywho, let's remind ourselves of all this Taylor Swift/Kanye West/Kim Kardashian drama, shall we? Earlier this year, Kanye released lead single from Life of Pablo, 'Famous'. It features the lyric: "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / I made that b*tch famous".
Taylor Swift hit back at the lyric in her GRAMMY acceptance speech, Kanye West launched a campaign insisting she actually already knew about the lyrics - and Kim Kardashian used her GQ cover shoot and interview to defend her husband.
At the time, she said: "She totally approved that. She totally knew that that was coming out. She wanted to all of a sudden act like she didn't. I swear, my husband gets so much shit for things [when] he really was doing proper protocol and even called to get it approved.
"Not in a million years. I don't know why she just, you know, flipped all of a sudden...It was funny because [on the call with Kanye, Taylor] said, 'When I get on the Grammy red carpet, all the media is going to think that I'm so against this, and I'll just laugh and say, 'The joke's on you, guys. I was in on it the whole time.' And I'm like, wait, but [in] your Grammy speech, you completely dissed my husband just to play the victim again."
Taylor Swift then got sassy and responded, and Kim Kardashian has now defended her comments in the Keeping Up With The Kardashian trailer.
She was telling Kourtney Kardashian: "I've never talked shit about anyone publicly, especially in interviews, but I was just like 'I've so had it. I wanted to defend him in it, because she legitimately, quote, says 'As soon as I get on that Grammy red carpet, I'm going to tell all the press 'I was in on it.
"Yeah, I'm just speaking the truth. He called her, spoke to her, she even helped him rewrite, you know? You know, another way to play the victim. Definitely got her a lot of attention the first time. At this point, I really don't give a f**k, so I'll do whatever to protect my husband."
God knows who's telling the truth, but we are LOVING all this beef. How about you lot? Your thoughts? Discuss with us at the usual place, yo.
