As soon as it was confirmed Harry Styles would be starring in Christopher Nolan production Dunkirk, we knew in our bones that he'd absolutely ace the role and win over the hearts and minds of the bigwigs in the industry.
Well, turns out Harry has lived up to and even exceeded our wildest expectations with both Christopher Nolan and now Mark Rylance singing his praises regarding his acting skills and his general likeability.
Revealing to London's Evening Standard that he didn't have much of a clue who Harry was before filming commenced, Mark - who you'll probably know as the new BFG, said:
"I didn't know anything about him really other than my 12-year-old niece played me a music video. She adores him. There are girls all over the place trying to get to him - he is one handsome fella with an incredible smile and eyes."
True. All true.
Adding that Harry has surprised him by being an all round great guy, Mark continued: "What's really surprised me is he's really witty, really funny — he really makes me laugh. He's been ever so brave, not making any fuss.
He then shared that he can see something undefinable and remarkable in Harry: "He seems remarkable ... one of those people [who has] - Sean Penn has it too - a kind of panache. I look at them and think, 'How did you get that? How do you get so that life is easy?' But he has got a lovely, lovely character. It's a gift."
Big words, eh? Very cool.
