Remember when One Direction went to Madame Tussauds and got every part of their bodies (well maybe not every part) measured up for their wax sculptures? You might remember it as the time Niall Horan kissed himself and it was strangely erotic.
Well, Zayn Malik now has another likeness of himself living on the Earth, and this one is made from sand rather than hot wax. The sculpture went on exhibition at The Broadway in Bradford, and Zayn's own mum went over to have a look at it.
Um, not exactly uncanny but a good effort nonetheless.
Anyway, Tricia Malik told The Bradford Zone that she thinks the sculpture is 'fantastic', saying: "I couldn't believe it when I heard that The Broadway had decided to create a sculpture of Zayn. I think it's fantastic. Zayn's sisters and I shop at The Broadway all the time – it's wonderful to see something like this right in our home town.
Adding that she reckons Zayn will be pretty chuffed about the whole thing, she said: "We all wanted to come along today to see it for ourselves. It's not everyday someone carves a sculpture of your son. I know he'll be absolutely overwhelmed to hear about it."
Meanwhile a bunch of fans reckon the end product looks more like the talking head in Art Attack than anything else, which is pretty much something that can never be unseen.
