We think it's fair to say that around 99.9 per cent of One Direction fans would love to be Lou Teasdale. Not only is she allowed to fondle the locks of Harry, Liam, Niall, Louis and Zayn on a DAILY basis, but she also gets to travel the world and is pretty much the nicest person we've ever met.
Now Lou has revealed how she got her break in the celeb hair industry - for all those wondering just how you go about nabbing a career like hers.
Talking to Superdrug, Lou said: "I went to the London College Of Fashion and when I was there I assisted anyone that would have me! I did loads of test shoots to get experience in the industry too, because I don’t think you really learn how things work until you actually go and do it.
"I then started to assist a hairdresser called Ben and he barber trained me. He worked on X Factor and a lot of music videos, and at this point I’d never done celebrity work before.
"This is when I found out that this actually suited me better than fashion. Personality wise I liked it more and I felt my vision for hair and make-up worked better for music rather than fashion.
"So when I met Ben that was my big break, because that’s when I got really busy and started working on the X Factor and I also did the make-up on there too.
Elaborating on what her work on The X Factor actually involved, Lou added:
"From that I would usually stay with the 2 or 3 acts that would get signed and work on their music videos and their tv appearances. Every year I’d then go back to the X Factor when the series started again, so that kept me busy right up until I started working with One Direction.
"This is the first year I haven’t actually worked on X Factor because I’m too busy! Last year I did work for their website, the year before I did Olly’s hair for Xtra Factor and the year before that, I did the tour. I always love to have something to do with it because I know everyone there."
What do you think - would you love to have a career like Lou's?
