Bella Thorne's a girl that can usually do no wrong, but she's landed herself in quite a controversial situation this week after claiming she was wearing a faux fur jacket - only for Instagram users to discover it was in fact made of real animals. Oh gahd.
But the actress has been caught out on Instagram after sharing a mirror selfie wearing a black jumpsuit, fur jacket and boots along with the caption: "When you're a tomboy and trade in sweats and kicks for boots and fur. (Dear internet Trolls, it's faux fur...) #ootd #shoes #basic #mirrorselfie #hellomarch #supertuesday #positivevibes #girlpower."
Only it, er, turns out it wasn't faux fur - after savvy Instagrammers were quick to point out that the jacket looked distinctly similar to an Alice & Olivia Terra Striped Fur Jacket.
The description of said jacket on the Harrods website reads: "Crafted with super-soft rabbit and blue fox fur, it boasts a woven design with a cropped silhouette and is finished with a monochrome striped pattern", which makes the whole thing all the more awkward.
A rep for Bella Thorne went on to tell TMZ that the coat was given to her during a photoshoot and she was "told it was faux fur", and that now she knows it's real she will no longer be wearing it.
But still, not great.
