Selena Gomez has recently stirred up a load of controversy for wearing a bindi on stage during her performances of 'Come & Get It'. One Hindu group said that "she should apologise" for wearing it ignorantly.
"The bindi on the forehead is an ancient tradition in Hinduism and has religious significance. It is also sometimes referred to as the third eye and the flame, and it is an auspicious religious and spiritual symbol," said Rajan Zed.
"It is not meant to be thrown around loosely for seductive effects or as a fashion accessory aiming at mercantile greed."
Well, Selena apparently big-fat doesn't care, as she rocked up for an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman in New York last night sporting yet another bindi, but this time without a floaty dress to go with it. Selena instead went for knee-high strappy boots, and a coat that looks a little bit like she might be about to flash everyone.
Selena headed into the TV studio for her televised interview that will be able to be watched worldwide to support the global release of her new single, following the international release of fanny-zooming film Spring Breakers, just after she'd given an interview with Z100 saying that she likes to keep herself private.
She also has a new Adidas campaign out this week. Just sayin'.
What do you think of Selena and bindi-gate?
