If you're anything like us, Toy Story probably made up a large proportion of your childhood in the shape of the films and merchandise - but imagine how weird things could have been if Woody and Buzz looked totally different.
Or EVEN WORSE, if they looked anything like the original concept art for the first Disney Pixar Toy Story film, which was revealed earlier this year to celebrate the film's 20th anniversary.
(Hint: IT'S TERRIFYING.)
Although it's not clear who the original artist was for Toy Story, Woody was apparently meant to be the bad guy - and started off as an antagonistic ventriloquist dummy. Da fuq? Pretty much the stuff of nightmares, not an awesome movie.
As for Buzz Lightyear, the original sketches show him as a basic 50s doll in a space helmet, rather than in the super snazzy space age style suit he ends up wearing.
Apparently, his storyline originally started off as a mechanical drummer trying to make it across a baby's playroom, but was soon changed into a space toy called Lunar Larry.
Lunar Larry then morphed into Buzz Lightyear and got a high-tech makeover, and we basically couldn't be more happy about it. BECAUSE LOOK AT HIM:
Praise the lord for multiple Toy Story drafts.
