EXCITING NEWS for all Star Wars fans out there - because the actor shortlist for an upcoming Han Solo spin-off has been revealed.
Variety report that after seeing thousands of actors, studio executives have whittled the list down to around 12 potentials for the lead role of a young Han, and OH it features so many of our faves.
Like Ansel Elgort (yaaaaassss), Miles Teller (yaaaaassss), Dave Franco (yaaaaassss), Scott Eastwood (yaaaaassss), Logan Lerman (yaaaaassss), and Brooklyn star Emory Cohen.
Seriously we don't envy the people having to choose just one out of that lot. Although Ansel's alter-ego and the name he uses in the music world IS actually Ansolo. So there's that.
Apparently bigwigs will make a decision within the next couple of weeks, although the film isn't scheduled to start shooting until NEXT January. Ugh.
HOWEVER - it's also being reported (although not confirmed) that the new Solo could have a small cameo in upcoming 'space opera' Rogue One: A Star Wars before appearing in his own standalone pic.
Rogue One - which still has a month of shooting to go - is set between Episode III and Episode IV of the Star Wars franchise, meaning that the new, younger Han Solo would be age appropriate.
Ooh it's a big job stepping into Harrison Ford's shoes though, innit? What do you make of all this - who would you pick? Answers on the back of a postcard, or y'know, over on Twitter @Sugarscape.
