Daniel Radcliffe has left Harry Potter and his hippogiffs behind in favour of playing a farting corpse with an erection in new movie Swiss Army Man - with large parts of the audience apparently walking out during the premiere. BRUTAL.
Yup, it sounds like DanRad's new role is a far cry away from Hogwarts and Hermione, after his new movie Swiss Army Man made its debut at the Sundance Film Festival.
The comedy tells the story of a lost man (played by Paul Dano) who befriends a farting corpse (that's Radcliffe's role) after his body washes up onto the shore of an island. The film sees them in long discussions about isolation, the meaning of life and, er, masturbation, with DanRad's character having an erection and passing wind throughout the film. Yeah.
The film apparently wasn't received well at the film festival, with large parts of the audience reportedly walking out half way through the screening. Awks.
Speaking about the role during a Q&A with the audience, Dan commented: "The chance to play a dead guy in this context was too much fun to pass up."
Make of all of that what you will, basically, and then let us know your thoughts over on our twitter @Sugarscape. THANKS PALS.
