There's nothing the internet loves more than
someone very official and professional making an accidental sex joke, so these posters from
Yukon Health and Social Services in Canada are going down a right treat.
The campaign has been designed to remind
people to take their daily dose of vitamin D (v important, you guys), but their tag line for
the message is all KINDS of awkward.
They've gone for the subtle and absolutely-no-hidden-meaning of 'WE ALL NEED THE D'.
One young woman wants to let you know that "We
all nee the D – even me!", which is quite a personal thing to reveal to someone
that you've only just met really.
This one gets very friendly and even wants to
offer you a helping hand to make sure you get all the D you could ever need.
This one's been designed to let you know that
you're never too old for the D. The expression on the dog's face is pretty much
how we're feeling about this whole thing.
According to Yukon News, the Department of
Health and Social Services were TOTALLY aware of what they were doing and knew
that 'the D' is basically code for sex.
"We knew it was an innuendo for sex," they
said, before admitting: "We did not realise that it was as crude as it is now
being purported to be."
Having said that though, they've now removed
all the ads from their postings and even taken them down from the website so
err… we're guessing someone made a boo-boo. Woopsie daisies.
Lolz. Reckon you get enough D in your day? Let
us know babes, we're on Twitter @Sugarscape.
