Earlier this week it was reported that Twitter was planning to get all 2016 on us by introducing a fancy new algorithm that's angered a LOT of people.
According to Buzzfeed News, the new form of Twitter will bring you a totally different timeline to the one you're used to, and after #RIPTwitter trended worldwide in response to the news, CEO and Twitter big cheese Jack Dorsey has spoken out.
The new Twitter update will see your normal timeline working in a very different way, re-ordering tweets based on what the new algorithm thinks you'll want to see, rather than the reverse chronological setup we've had until now.
It's the latest big change that Twitter's seen recently following the swap of 'favourites' to 'likes' and the introduction of Moments to your top bar, but this would be the most dramatic of the lot by far.
Speaking about the controversial idea of the new timeline, Jack said: "Hello Twitter! Regarding #RIPTwitter: I want you all to know we're always listening. We never planned to reorder timelines next week.
"Twitter is live. Twitter is real-time. Twitter is about who & what you follow. And Twitter is here to stay! By becoming more Twitter-y," he tweeted, using the new 'While You Were Away' feature as an example of positive changes.
Hmm, still not convinced.
What do you make of the big Twitter change? Is it something you're on board with or nah? Let us know with a tweet to @Sugarscape.
