Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle has revealed the extent of her horrific injury from The Jump, tweeting a picture from of her recovery which shows she's in fact in a neck brace.
Another day, another horrific celebrity injury as a result of Channel 4 show The Jump. Not only did Made in Chelsea's Mark-Francis Vandelli break an ankle, Joe Swash crack a bone before even entering the competition and Rebecca Adlington dislocate a shoulder, but now Beth Tweddle has shown off the horrific extent of her fall.
After it was revealed that she broke two vertebrae in her shoulder and bone from her hip was taken and used to pin them back into place, Beth has tweeted fans to thank them for their support and inform them of her speedy recovery.
Along with a picture of her holding a vase of flowers and wearing a neck brace, Beth wrote: "Hi Everyone I just wanted to let you know the good news that I am being discharged from hospital today [sic]."
All this comes as Beth's parents revealed she was unable to move her fingers or toes after the accident, as well as it taking a few days for her to be able to walk a few steps with the help of others.
They released a statement saying: "Since her surgery, Beth has managed to walk a few steps whilst being assisted by the nursing team. She is still very tired from the operation but the medical team are pleased with the progress she is making."
