Er, have we time travelled back to Spring 2014 or is never-ending X Factor drama a thing that's about to start up all over again? As not only has Nick Grimshaw spectacularly quit the show and Louis Tomlinson off of One Direction "very likely" to replace him, but it looks like Caroline Flack's job hangs in the balance too. WHAAAA'?
On Christ on a bicycle and other such phrases, just when you thought Simon Cowell had finally got to grips with a good line up and presenting duo, it looks like X Factor 2016 is set for big changes - especially considering Nick Grimshaw's decision to leave the show.
A spokesperson for the Radio 1 DJ fella told The Sun: "After careful consideration, Nick's decided to rule himself out as a judge on this year's X Factor.
"He loved working on last year's series alongside Rita, Cheryl and Simon but it was very much a once-in-a-lifetime experience. He remains a massive fan of the show and is looking forward to watching it this year."
Whilst a show source added: "Nick made the decision to jump before he was pushed and that is completely understandable", and an X Factor how spokesman said: "We wish him all the best."
Speaking about his decision to leave the show on Radio 1, Grimmy commented: "We just had a think about it and sat down, and I just thought it's one of those things that I loved, I did love it, its not a diss to the show, it's not me storming out of X Factor being like 'screw you Cheryl'! It's a great show and I loved it."
"I loved Simon, and I loved Cheryl, and I loved Rita, I loved everyone that worked on it, and all the boys as well - the mentoring stuff I really really loved.I genuinely loved it, there's no bad blood. I just want to watch it on the telly."
And that's where Louis Tomlinson comes in, as insiders and blabbermouth sources reckon Simon Cowell's well keen to have him on board (who wouldn't be really), adding: "Louis Tomlinson is very likely to replace Grimmy. He agreed in principle to the job while assisting Simon Cowell during the judges' houses round last year.
"But Simon remains very fond of Louis Walsh and came very close to bringing him back during last year's live shows. He felt a certain something was missing on the show without him."
WALSH OVER TOMMO? ARE YOU JOKING?
And if that weren't enough X Factor based news for one day (it was), it looks like Caroline Flack's position on the show isn't safe either, with Simon Cowell reportedly not keen on having two presenters after all.
The Sun's source continued: "Caroline's a really experienced broadcaster but the combination of two presenters just didn't work out this year.
"It's unfortunate for her, but the decision gives her the opportunity to take on a major West End role, which is something she's wanted for a long time."
So there you go. A lot to take in, huh? Whaddaya reckon? Might Luigi actually be on our screens every weekend? YAAAAS.
