If you were to ask Mr Hendrick how much attention we paid in Biology from the ages of 11-17, the answer is probably ziltch - but that doesn't mean we don't appreciate science for revealing the best Instagram filter for getting the most likes.
And before you try to shade us, NO this isn't about being shallow, but rather having the confidence and being proud of your appearance, even if that means chucking a filter on a selfie before you share it with the world. Or not, as the case may be.
A new study from graphic design start-up Canva is looking at the most popular Instagram filters from around the world that use the most popular hashtags #fashion, #food, #selfie and #nature.
They found that Clarendon is the most-used filter on Instagram filters worldwide - and whilst it might potentially/possibly/probably be because we're all super lazy and it's the second filter on the list, it's most likely because it's the most flattering.
After Clarendon, Instagram users tend to use Juno, Valencia or Gingham - but the Canva study reckons Hashtag NO FILTER aka #NoFilter is the best way to get likes, 'cos people appreciate seeing natural beauty.
So there you go.
Whether or not there's any truth in it is up for question, but what do you lot reckon? Are you gonna go filter free on your next piccy or what? Discuss with us @Sugarscape, y'all.
BUT LOOK AT THESE FIRST, YO:
