Simon Cowell can stop his brow from sweating and rub his hands with glee again, as despite rumours doing the rounds about X Factor getting the axe from prime time TV, it looks like it's actually gonna stick around on ITV until 2019. Yaaaas.
Just when you thought you'd have to come up with another excuse for not having a social life on a Saturday night, a new deal means Britain's Got Talent and X Factor will continue to be ITV's prime time telly.
According to a source at The Sun: "This was always going to be a joint deal - Simon Cowell, Britain's Got Talent and The X Factor come as a package.
"But a new three-year deal will be a hue relief to Cowell because it gives both shows a real sense of stability into the future. It will also end the constant rumours that The X Factor is going to be axed."
Er, so seeing as that means another THREE years of X Factor is guaranteed, can we start the conversation again about who the faaack is going to make up the judging panel and presenting duo?
Seeing as Caroline Flack and Olly Murs got the sack and Nick Grimshaw made the decision to leave the show after a year, it's all very up in the air rn about who's gonna be filling the seats next year, innit?
Reports reckons Louis Tomlinson and Dermot O'Leary are the most likely to fit the bill, but we're secretly hoping Barry from IT might make the cut. Thoughts? What do you make of the X Factor being renewed for another 3 years? Discuss with us @Sugarscape, pals.
