Following her appearance at Newcastle Magistrate's Court this afternoon, a judge has ruled that Geordie Shore's Charlotte Crosby should be banned from driving for three years after admitting to being behind the wheel under the influence of alcohol.
Charlotte was caught drink driving her Range Rover back in January of this year, when police officers pulled her over for a breath test only to find that she was over DOUBLE the legal limit. Not cool.
Charlotte had been drinking on the train home from London to Newcastle earlier that day, before two police officers later spotted her suspiciously weaving across the road.
With all the evidence very clearly against her, Charlotte pleaded guilty to the charges regarding the incident on January 28th, with her lawyer stating that she's feeling "bitterly ashamed, contrite and embarrassed" about the whole thing.
It's not just a lack of wheels that Charlotte has landed herself with either, as today the court also heard how she'd already been banned from driving for 18 months back in 2012. Because this is now her second offence, she is unable to get a visa to travel to the USA.
Charl's lawyer Nick Freeman said today that she'd been close to landing a TV career in the States, but those dreams are now totally scuppered as a result of her stupid decision to get behind the wheel after drinking.
Speaking on Charlotte's behalf, her lawyer added that she "would like to apologise to the court and her family", as well as "her legions of fans and supporters who she has let down in a huge way."
Despite insisting last time that it wouldn't happen again, Charl is now also faced with a £1,185 bill as part of her charges.
UGH, not particularly great news then. What do you make of all of this? Let us know with a tweet to @Sugarscape.
