He might be a blast from reality tv past, but Charlie King has been saying some eye opening and important things about how he felt about his sexuality during his time on TOWIE.
Unless you're a The Only Way Is Essex veteran, you might not remember Charlie King, who starred on the show way back along with the original cast such as Mark Wright, Joey Essex and Lauren Goodger.
During his appearance on the show, he was deemed as straight and shared an on/off romance with Gemma Collins - and it was only during an appearance on This Morning in October 2014 that he revealed he was actually gay.
Since coming out, Charlie has spoken out about how he 'struggled with his sexuality' on the show, and about how it takes a strong person to come out as homosexual.
Speaking to Heat magazine, he commented: "It just takes one person to speak up and say something. Even with my own struggles with my sexuality, I came out on This Morning and once you've put it out there, you can get on with being who you are.
"I think we anticipate and worry far more than what actually happens. But it's going to take that one brave person to come forward while they're still working – as a footballer, for example – I think people would then follow suit."
When you do come to terms with something, you accept it and you actually realise and embrace who you are [and that] there's nothing to be ashamed about or upset about. You know, this is who you are meant to be, so get on and enjoy your life."
YAAAASS Charlie. For for you Glen Coco, you go Glen Coco.
