As if you didn't already spend enough time on Twitter (oh we're onto you) , the social media platform is apparently planning to make tweeting even more addictive for its users with a brand new, Snapchat inspired addition.
It's something that you've probably never realised you needed in your life before, but Twitter's latest move to boost popularity and gain more users is thought to be a cute li'l stickers feature for photos. YAAAS.
According to recode.net, Twitter is currently in the process of experimenting with a feature that, although brand new for their own site, has already been used across Snapchat and Facebook for a while now. Oooh sneaky.
Seeing as poor Twitter has been slightly left behind while Facey B, Snapchat and Instagram popularity rises, they're trying to pull in new users with the stickers - possible names for which include "Stickers," "Stamptags," "Taptags," and "Stickits."
Errmm, what about TWICKERS. Or STITTERS. Ehh, we'll leave it to the professionals.
Based on a screenshot taken by a tester who goes by @XBLFoxes, the sticker option will be located in the right-hand corner of Twitter's photo editor. Look, it's real fancy and all kinds of cute.
While this does sound like a fairly brill idea, it is a bit weird how all of the different social media sites basically seem to be morphing into one another over time. Will we just be left with Snapitterbookgram soon? Hmmm.
Let us know what you reckon to the possibility of Twitter stickers, we're over at @Sugarscape guys and gals.
