So we all know by now that Dermot O'Leary is returning to X Factor, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has waved goodbye to Simon Cowell with her little Geordie hand and Caroline Flack and Olly Murs were given the boot.
But that hasn't stopped countless rumours, stories and interviews revolving around #Carolly and the X Factor anyway, with the latest one coming in the shape of Olly saying he thinks he did a 'good job' on the show and explaining the reason behind his exit.
Speaking about how he hopes to focus more on his next album now, he told the Metro: "[Music] has been at the forefront of everything that I have been doing. I wouldn't have got the X Factor job if it hadn't been for the success I've had with music.
"I loved doing it. It was a boot camp for me from start to finish, but a great experience. I'm looking forward to finishing my new album and releasing it. People seemed to forget the limited amount of experience I'd had with live TV and how difficult it is.
"When you see presenters who've done loads of TV like Ant and Dec and Dermot O'Leary, they can make it look. easy because they've done it so long. In my heart, I felt I did a good job and there were a few hiccups along the way, but that's what live TV is all about."
All this comes as Caroline Flack was forced to deny she was bitter about losing the presenting job, taking to Twitter to rubbish rumours that she was no longer speaking to Olly because of it.
So there you go. Now can we all go back to dad dancing Dermot O'Leary style?
